Tuesdays in Temecula…a dancer’s feast!
The third Tuesday of every month celebrates dance, in all forms, with the long-running popular showcase, danceXchange. July’s edition welcomes featured guest artist, Sue Roginski to the cozy stage of Temecula’s City Hall, Conference Center Courtyard on July 21st.
Sue Roginski, dance artist and educator, has been creating choreographed improvisations for the past 6 years. Typically the improvisations reveal or expose the structure to the audience during performance. Roginski’s newest piece is a collaborative endeavor with local dancers from Riverside and puzzles the concept of non-sequitur. Each section of the dance is interrupted by something seemingly unrelated to what just occurred, and the idea is that the audience will “go to the new” alongside the dancers as they practice that skill in the moment.
Always inventive and intriguing, Sue Roginski’s work is an interplay of thought and physical presence. Audiences are engaged on many levels.
danceXchange will present several other performers, along with the Roginski work. This month, we welcome Aaron Shaw and the community Improvisation Class, Rebekah Johnson, Majesty Dancers, David, Chavez, Barbara Mena, Ariel Green-Hill, Joseph Lister, and Kylie Canales, among others.
Our special dessert buffet continues to be an elegant addition to the danceXchange offerings. Your $10 donation gives you unlimited trips to the dessert buffet and bottomless water, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa! Also, you will receive two free raffle ticket chances to win prizes and gifts at the intermission drawing, with your dessert buffet donation!
