In yet another incarnation of the long-standing program, danceXchange, Dance Theatre Collective of Southern California and Temecula Presents will provide local dancers and audiences with the opportunity to experience dance from multiple sides of the creative process. This month’s showcase will feature performances, mini-classes, improvisational explorations, and creativity-squared! For just $5.00, dancers (12 – 112 years) and audience members will experience dance, dance, and more dance!

It’s a veil. It’s a wrap. It’s a cape. Join in the fun. Learn different ways to dance with a veil. Use your imagination and create a duet with a veil. It’s playtime!
Come join in an Introduction to veil dancing. Learn how to select a veil. Learn different ways to hold a veil plus veil wraps. Learn how to use the veil for a grand entrance. Come learn short dance combinations.
Experience the ethereal beauty and ecstatic freedom of dancing in the flow and folds of a veil. Take flight with a veil. Learn how to love your veil and move smoothly without a fuss. The veil can be your new best friend.
Create gorgeous and mysterious dance performances with exquisite veil technique. In this workshop we will explore the use of veils to add mystery and drama. Create imagery using the fluid or lighter than air quality of the fabric. Make use of different lines and angles.
Learn how frame your figure with a veil, create “turbans” and “butterflies” and dance with the veil as an extension of yourself.
How do you get a veil? Purchase light fabric such as chiffon, organza, tissue lame (44″ wide) that has a “float” or airy quality at a local store. The average veil length is two to three yards long depending on the dancer’s height and preference.
Veils available for workshop use or bring your favorite piece of fabric.
